Better Saturdays

Since the previous post, I mentioned that I wished to have better Saturdays,
Yeah, I did have better Saturdays, besides not having to work on Saturdays, only occasionally, when I was asked by my boss (It seldom happen, and I hope it wouldn't happen *wicked smile).

I remembered one Saturday, a morning after Friday overnight prayer, it's so awesome! My first overnight prayer in church, the morning when I reached home, I 'kena goreng', scolded or sounded by my mother, and sisters, "Who will ever do that? Who will ever pray overnight? Where got such thing?" - after I told them I didn't sleep the last night! (I didn't bother much though, cause, what they said was pointing to the past, things already happen, wouldn't rewind, their words can't change what was happened.)

I broke my own record, plus time I used to bath, it's about 24 hours before I dozed off.
Then, I was awaken by my dear friend who's fetching me for church cleaning, 4 pm. Then continue dinner with whole family. Resumed to church for S.O.D. = School of Discipleship, 8-10 pm.

That Friday night was really great, 2 teenage girls received the gift of tongues as they really, eagerly, wanted it so badly, I'm glad to have know them who are so passionate for God. These 2 girls plus another girl (who is the sister of one of them) managed to stay until the next morning, after having 'dim sum' as breakfast, then had devotion in the park with us (older youths - Joshua: who's taking care of them, Albert, Mei Mei, & I). We had brisk walk at the park before we left separate ways. Pastor mentioned there will be more overnight prayer, maybe once a month, no obligation, it's the heart that matter.

Then the next Saturday morning, we (Rachel, Deniece, Albert - who came later) went to visit Mrs. Chao, who is a single parent taking care of her four children, at a terrace house, in Taman Bukit Anggerik, near our church. Have a chit-chat time with her, I felt so blessed to listen to her testimony, and story of her past. I finally know the reason why she have to take care of the children all by herself by baby-sitting 2 siblings - a 4 years old girl and a 3 years old boy, plus a few months old baby. We did helped her to take care of the 2 siblings who she baby-sit so that she can do her house works, however, most of the time she spent chatting with us.

Mrs. Chao and her children must have passed through a tough time when her husband was around. The children have grown up independently. She told me her closest family members including her sister who was strongly against Christ, slowly accepting Christ or rather God is opening the door for them as she prayed for them daily. Praise the Lord, God Almighty! She did asked us whether we went for last Friday's overnight prayer meeting, yes, we all did. She told us that two of her younger children went also, but they didn't stay overnight due to tuition on the next day. Many were blessed during that night's prayer.

The Saturday (is it Saturday or Monday, 31st August)? Anyway, it was a great week. I spent time with my siblings and her 2 friends - Gary (years old 50 plus man) & Ashley (used to call her 'Ah Leng' in cantonese means beauty/ beautiful lady). We departed as early as 6.30 a.m. Reached Ah Leng's house about 7 a.m., because it was our first time hiking Saga Hill in Taman Saga we ended in the wrong hill at first, until we met this uncle, who exercise regularly nearby that area lead us to the 'real' Saga Hill, and he left us. We took less than 1 hour to reach the top of the hill, however, since it was our first time, we just continued our journey guided by another uncle together with his family to the waterfall, we did rest, and took some photos. Over all we spent about 4 hours in the 'jungle', Saga Hill.

Then, we had lunch at a place used to called Cosy Corner, in Taman Cheras (Yulek), famous for it's 'Lum Mee', and 'Yong Tau Foo'.

After this, the Saturday will depend on you all...whether my Saturdays will be full of excitement or just a mundane (wake up, eat, bath, watch TV, sleep)?

Shopping Spree!

For the few weeks/days before 31st August 2009, I spent time with my siblings and sometimes mother for shopping spree in Parkson, we travelled and experienced most of the Parkson in K.L. and Selangor: KLCC, Pavillion, Sg. Wang, O.U.G., Subang Parade. Always O.UG. was our last resort of the day because it's nearest to us. I remembered that Sunday, we spent almost whole day in Subang Parade, because it's far from us and we have less chance to go there in near future.

Why Parkson? Our objectives are to spend the RM 50 Parkson's vouchers given by our parents (the expiry date is 30th September 2009), and gain extra RM 10 Parkson's voucher (expired after a week the voucher is given) by spending RM 150. Last Sunday, I managed to used all Parkson's vouchers that were given to me. What a relieve...mostly spent on working attires. :)
