Allergy during CNY

Hi dudes,
This is my 3rd post about allergy, and the worst and longest experience of allergy that I had.

It all started on Thursday, 3 days before CNY I had 'mee goreng' cooked by my colleague's mother.
There's a lot of ingredients in the noodle, including prawn (I will get allergy, if I eat it). However, I ate the noodle after removing all the prawns.

The next day, I felt itchiness surrounding my eyes, and I realized my eye (skin surrounding it) were reddened and swollen. Actually, that Thursday night itself I felt the itchiness surrounding my eyes, I thought it was my contact lens therefore, removed the lens and continue my sleep.

So, I went to work the next morning (Friday), I was a late because thinking whether should I consult doctor first or go to work first. In the end, I chose going to work first, ended up gaining comments from my colleagues: "What happen to your eyes? Peeped someone else's bathing last night? etc.,etc." I was speechless, because I know, humans are like that, they just like to comment about others but not themselves, how to comment about ourselves, then? Maybe, that's how they show their concerns. After seeking advice from my mother, I went to consult doctor.

The doctor that I used to consult is not clinic that I used to go, still I stay there, let the 'replacement doctor' treat me. The conclusion: eyes infection. Therefore, have to take some oral and topical medications.

Seeing, no improvement after 1 day of medication, the elderly people advice me to consult doctor, again. So, I went to the previous clinic, but doctor not in. Therefore, I went to another clinic (clinic no.2), still this doctor is also a 'replacement doctor', I remembered I told the doctor about my swollen eyes, and showed the medication. Then he said is allergy, I thought I was allergy to medicine. He said, "This medication is not suitable (pointing to the tube of medication to apply for inner eyes' infection.)" Immediately, it approves that the previous doctor mis-diagnosed me.

Anyway, this doctor no.2 said I should get a shot, therefore I received it at my buttock~ouch!
According to my colleague, to treat allergy, for immediate recovery, getting a shot (of vaccine) is the best. Therefore, I'm confident that will help in releasing my swell eyes. Doctor no.2 said it will takes 30-45 mins to see the results (meaning I will recover in 45 mins), however the shot will make me feel sleepy, so before that he asked how do I come, where do I stay, etc. etc. to make sure I didn't cause accident after taking the shot. I was given 2 types of oral medication for allergy and a bottle of calamine (I guess), a type of liquid to apply on skin where I feel the itchiness. After paying the bill, immediately I drove home and bathed. Slept early after taking dinner and medicines due to sleepiness (effect from the shot).

Rest well, then the next day I went to office just to see what's going on, because the boss is giving his employees some bonus in term of gifts, mostly food and beverages, and red packets. Of course, all these must paid by cleaning the working place...

Remembering the doctor's advice, not to eat: seafood, peanut, egg, brinjal (egg-plant), long beans, some other fishes (I guess is salt-water fishes).
I was like, oh no! It's CNY, and yet I can't eat a lot of good food.

At reunion dinner table, we sat with relatives, I found out one of them can't eat chicken due to allergy. At least, I'm not the only one having it.

I went to search online, it's written there that 10-20% of people have allergy. So, it's consider normal, at least for me, I'm one of the 10-20% of people.

Avoiding myself from eating what I should not eat, ended up having sushi at Sushi King with my sisters before watching movie, "All wells, ends wells", a CNY's comedy. Still, after eating, my skin were having hives throughout my hands, looks awful (red patches surrounding my arms). So, I took the oral medicine after the meal. Then we had Subway during the movie.

Seeing the hives still 'conquered' my skin, I took medication before sleep.

The next day, had dinner with family in restaurant, with 'yee sang' as starter. Allergy happens again. Tired of seeing it. Wanted to give up, but still ended up taking medicine.

The day after that (when I only left one tablet of medicine), the hives finally left! Thanked God, and praised God for He has healed me!

Now, the medicine is placed in the so-called medicine shelf.

I can happily eat now, but still must be cautious on what I'm eating to prevent allergy.

But the list of food that I can eat is getting shorter each time I'm attacked by allergy-sad case.

Now I can greet, "HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!" (after all the sad things happened)
