It's quite unexpected, but the plan is going on smoothly for a few weeks.
Don't know how to say, my dad's secretary (Hoon) asked me about this plan for weeks & I accepted without hesitation..because I've wanted so long to go back to my mum's hometown.
Dilemma begin when my sis asked me if I could joined her on a jogging event for cancer patients just few days before the trip..at last, I still stick to the plan..no regret...because I've promised that i will go..but I feel a bit bad for not accopanying sis..sorry sis!
Let's start the tour!
6 a.m. departed, passed by K.L. roads then highway
8.30 a.m. reached Simpang Pulai, take a rest in rest room, continue journey
9.30 a.m. reached Tringkap...yeah! at last, met my relatives & had breakfast together..then continue to ride on Landrover...plucked a few friuts & vegetables, bought bunch of sweet corn from my mum's best friend..the corn really sweet!
later continue to Cactus Valley, met another relatives..got free food & survenirs..hmm, went exploring & took some pictures
2 p.m. check in Desa Apartment at Tanah Rata...cooked...prepare food & had lunch there..hehe, got the chance to learn being a housewife...I salute you, Hoon...almost the whole utensils in kitchen you brought them to the apartment! Much more food for steamboat..thank you & your siblings! You guys treat me good enough! Ya, the apartment has 1 living room with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms & a kitchen.
8 p.m. it's steamboat time! yay! It's very common & popular to have at Cameron Highlands.. enjoyed it a lot! especially during late night, we enjoyed rew wine with 7 up..quite tasty ;)
the next day, we try to finish the food so that we wouldn't waste much space in car.
back to Cactus Valley...buy everything that we want before went back to K.L.
then got some free vegetables from relatives before we move on..
3 p.m. Reached Simpang Pulai, had break at Tapah. I've got fruity guava...I love guava!
the plan still on, which is the journey to Kuala Selangor..time to eat seafood, here I come catch some fishs!
Long journey, stress + tense...but only reached Bidor, bought some biscuits but not me..
6 p.m. at traffic lights, 2 cars side by side, suddenly car's windows open, here comes the 'Pun Chuan Chicken Biscuits' known as 'kai chai' biscuits thrown from a car (Hoon sister's) to our car..wow! this, my 1st experienced...I didn't even know that's possible! I was shocked by the brave action...
7.15 p.m. we reached finally, got place at the restaurant, eating seafood as much as we like to satisfy hunger for more than 6 hours journey since the last meal we had..spend almost 2 hours..
11 p.m. reached home...trip ended!
Goodbye & Enjoy next vacation?

Things you should know
I've been busy all day and night since 5th April, that is about 3 weeks ago or more...
My mum fell into a small drain near my dad's shop on that night when she tried to pull(close) the van's door. I didn't know how, but it just happened according to my dad. He blamed that mum's not careful enough. Some other reasons might be the van is too high for mum, as difficult as climbing up the lorry. It was the first day dad try to drive the new van to shop, and (if i'm not mistaken) that day was the actual day for Chinese to clean their ancestors' graveyard (Qing Ming) and also pray for the spirits ...where you can actually see people burning so called 'money' - silver paper and joss stick, during night time, when we believed we shouldn't go out till night for that particular day(if not something bad will happen). Well, it'd just happened.
On that day, as I still remember, I went to my dad's shop to give mum's her lunch. Then I went home as soon as I sent my brother to tuition. At home, I quickly finish my assignments and sent to my leader. As I finished, I ask maid to accompany me to (do some exercises) walk around the house but she doesn't want. So, I packed my cloths ready to bath.
Just before anything happen, here come the bell rang..I went and saw a familiar face then I open the gate to let him in but he just stayed out. I went nearer as he tried to say something.
He said, "Your mum fell into the drain!", his tone as if he's joking. Then, I asked, "Which drain? Why & How it happened? "He said, "Don't know how, but she just fell into the drain"
After he left, I quickly ask my maid to go with me (perhaps she could help). We were feeling disbelieves about the news but anyhow we have to take an action about it, left my aunt alone at home. Along the way to shop I felt funny about the news, at the same time I'm worried about mum.
I was thinking,"Is mum still in the drain and need people to bring her up?"
In the end when we reached mum's already standing with dad holding her from behind, they stood near the place where incident happened. First, I stopped further from the place. Then they asked me to drive nearer to let mum get in the car easier. Then in less than a minute, my dad's worker came with his Proton Wira, at least his car is lower, so that mum wouldn't have to climb up again to my Proton Juara that's about the height of a van. Mum sat at the front seat beside the driver while maid & I sat behind her, me holding mum's hand. Her right hand's wrapped by 'soft paper box using dirty cloth'. Wrapped below her elbow as if her hand 'broke'.The worker drive us to Pantai Hospital near Taman Cheras (Yulek) as ordered by my dad. Then my dad followed from behind driving P.Juara. From his expression since he's holding mum near the 'small' drain, I knew that he's worried about mum (just that he showed his angry looks as usual, stay calm as if nothing has happen). I got to know about a week later, Mr.Philip(Social Psychology's lecturer) said that usually, generally, men will stayed calm while women will show their emotion. That's SO true! Even common sense can tell that.
As we reached, we helped mum to be seated on a wheelchair. The nurse sent her to particular room to medicate her wound at her leg's finger. While thing's going on, dad registered for mum. Mum have to stay a night. Dad's made his decision to ask whether I could stay a night accompanying mum. Without thinking further, I nodded. Me and dad takes turn to accompany mum in the particular room. With permission, I helped to take off her jewelleries while maid's holding her right hand. Dad standing outside the room, as only one person can go in at a time. Maid said that nobody's fetching my brother. Then, I quickly call my sister if she's back then she could fetch. I told her everything about mum, she got surprised, but she couldn't help as she should be back at 9 p.m. The problem is my brother's tuition end at 8.00 p.m. (how?)
Later, mum's sent to X-ray her hand. While waiting, a call came. It's from Mr. Lee, dad's friend(supposed they have dinner together), I passed my mobile phone to dad. After that, I called home & got to know that aunt Jennifer went to fetch my bro. already. Having dinner, my bro. didn't eat much according to my aunt. He did cried when he visited mum just after he had the dinner (fetched by Mr. Lee). That is after maid & I got home, fetched by my cousin (who used to work with dad, now he owned his own shop) . Cousin came along with his mum(another aunt who stay with us) after they closed their shops in Kajang Utama.
At home, we packed mum's clothing and etc. for her. Then, had some breads as our lunch(no appetite) even the food is delicious. Took bath and maid get ready herself, packed everything she needed to accompany mum during the night. My sister came back from work earlier and fetched both of us back to Pantai Hospital. In hospital we saw aunt Jennifer & her son(my mum's god son) standing near the counter. It's almost 10.00 p.m. He went to register, so that we allowed to visit mum as the visiting hour's over. We went to ask the room no. then only we went in the room. OMG!! What we saw is only her pair of shoes. What's happened? Of course mum still in operation room.. relived..There is a little waiting room near the operation room, we saw everybody (friends & relatives stay in Taman Midah) were there waiting too except dad(coz he went to dine with Mr. Lee..poor them, nearly 10.00 p.m. only eat) .
A few minutes later mum's pushed out from the operation room to her room. We all followed to her room, our friends & relatives telling 'grandmother story' along the way until they left the hospital. Left maid, me & sister in the room with mum. At 11 something, dad came with Mr. Lee. Mr. Lee left after a few minutes followed by dad (after dad had settled down everything- ask maid to look after mum) . Mum started to be half-conscious after they left. My sister & I went home after mum able to talk a bit, leave maid alone with mum, when it's about 12 midnight. We went to eat supper nearby with one of her friend who stay in Yulek. Chit-chatting.
Reached home, I felt exhausted...though went to sleep at 12 something. My eldest sister who was still in Filipina working & another sister studying in Cyberjaya(they got the news too). The moral of the story is don't do things that you didn't do daily (did by dad, drove the new van) - not really agree with this. Another point is don't stay up night during Qing Ming- that's superstitious.
Anyway, the thing is over (but till now I still need to take care of mum-doing her job such as going to the market & help dad in shop). I would like to say sorry for keeping it long enough without telling my friends about it. I apologize for not doing well in the assignments...sorry mates..also want to apologize to Mei Mei for not accepting her invitation to celebrate Easter during the weeks.
Lee.
