1st April 2011

Hello,
It's April Fool day.
Have you being fooled or have you been fooling others?
As for me, both apply however not all are craps, there are some serious things such as news of person's death (is not a joke or a thing to be fooled about).

Have been discussing with my fellow colleagues (of all races) about death and how they carry out ceremony for the death, interesting! Seems like the Malays & Indians have similar practice: bury the corpse and have ceremony there and then if possible on the day of the death itself. However, for Chinese they could wait until the 3rd day or 5th day (counting from the day of the death) then only bury the corpse. One of them shared that one should quickly bury the death body so that it doesn't affect much on the present living relatives (putting the body at home for several days: wasting place), besides, it also help in quicken the judgment of the dead person (life after death - go to heaven or hell, really?). On the other hand, burying the death body at later day is actually for giving chance for all relatives to 'see' the person for the last time before the body is buried/burned.

Another thing is to bury or to burn? As I know, the Chinese and the Indians accept both, Malays only accept burying the death. The reasons behind all these, I do not know simply because I didn't find out and I have no concern about this yet (why do I want to trouble myself with all these reasoning?).

Another point being discussed is life after death - one of them said she doesn't want to be human after death, want to be a bird instead (talked about believing in karma?).

Lastly, how or where do you want to die? One of them said, "I wanna die at my home - sleeping." (peaceful)
Another one said, "I wanna die of accident." (so terrible, are you sure? with brain damaged and etc.)
Well, who knows how or where will you die? Its all in God's hand.

My colleague always say,"We can only plan, but God decides what happen in the future."
